Tips for Curly Hair

• Clarifying is so important. This can resolve alot of the issues you may be experiencing with your curls. Look for a clarifying shampoo that doesn’t contain alot of silicones, polyquats or copolymers (Sunday by Bumble & Bumble is my favorite clarifying shampoo).

• Using the right shampoo and conditioner for your curls can make or break your wash day. You’ll want to adjust what you use based on the needs of your hair (dry and frizzy, curls have lost their shape, etc.)

• If you have stringy curls after you diffuse, this does not always mean that you need a haircut. Most of the time, the hair didn’t dry properly while diffusing. Feel those stringy pieces, if they are wet or damp, cup them in your hand and dry without the diffuser bowl on, and you’ll see an immediate improvement.
